We’ve all had something go unexpectedly wrong on stage – tripping over a guitar cable, smacking your face with the microphone, etc. But as the saying goes, it’s not what happens to you, but rather how you respond that matters, right?
Brazilian pianist Eliane Rodrigues taught us all a lesson in stage performance 101 when one of her piano pedals was sticking just as she was about to play pieces by Chopin and Piazzolla at De Doelen in Rotterdam.
What happens next is both entertaining and a charming display of grace when something goes wrong. So keep Rodrigues in mind next time things don’t go as planned during your next performance. Your act may come out better because of it!
